Following the Giants Krabi is a sanctuary actively registered with World Animal Protection. It is a special place to learn about the traditional mahout-elephant relationship, where visitors can join in protecting the giants of Krabi. Kayaking and swimming in the fresh water lake – The Pom Klong Nam is a true delight.
Follow our elephants through the forest as they roam freely in their natural habitat. Learn their unique stories while observing them respectfully from a distance.
Doing a Good Deed! Seed Ball Reforestation
Get your hands dirty for a good cause by crafting seed balls from clay and elephant dung. Launch them into the forest to help grow future elephant food!

What’s Included During the “Following the Giants and Kayaking Krabi”
Full-Day Itinerary:
- Pickup from your hotel’s lobby (exact time depends on location; confirmation provided the day before).
- Arrival at Following Giants at approximately 8:20 AM.
- Change into rubber boots.
- Short video introduction, meet the guides, and safety briefing.
- Toilets, insect repellent, sun screening, and water refill.
- Start the jungle walk with elephants.
- Observe elephants in the forest while learning about their personalities and behaviors.
- Make and shoot seed balls.
- Time to Kayak
- Making the poo paper
- Enjoy a delicious Thai meal and refreshments served on our observation deck.
- Walk back to reception for hotel drop-off.

- For 8:30 AM packages including transfers, bookings made less than 12 hours before the start will require you to arrange your own transportation.
- Trip Operational Months: All year round, in all weather conditions.
- Fitness Level: Moderate.
- What to wear: Comfortable clothing; bring a hat and sunscreen for sun protection.
What to Expect:
- Each program involves following the elephants through the forest, featuring a variety of terrains and stunning views.
- Rubber boots are provided, but if you choose to wear your own footwear, be aware that they may get dirty and muddy.
To book a private transfer for locations outside our covered areas, note the area, and an accurate price will be provided.
Cancellation Policy:
- Cancellations made at least 24 hours before the experience start time qualify for a full refund. No refunds for cancellations or changes made less than 24 hours before the start time (Thai time, UTC +07:00).
- No-show at the meeting point at the appointed time will be considered non-refundable.
- Bookings made 180 days (6 months) or more before the visit date cannot be canceled or refunded.
