Koh Lipe is an island in the Andaman Sea; it is part of the Tarutao National Marine Park. Small islands populate Koh Lipe, which is renowned for its coral-rich waters and stunning turquoise waters.

Koh Lipe, often referred to as the Maldives of Thailand, captivates visitors with its breathtaking beauty. As you arrive at the pier, its beauty astounds.

The island’s mere 2.5 km length makes it effortless to explore the entire island in a single day, especially on foot. The streets are narrow, making it rare to spot cars or trucks. You can easily find motorbike taxis with sidecars that provide seating for both luggage and passengers, particularly near the pier location. The taxi cost per person is 50 THB for anywhere on the island.

The island boasts sandy white beaches – Pattaya Beach, Cosy Cove Beach, Sunrise Beach, Sunset Beach, and Sanom Beach – which all have something special to offer everyone.

The vibe around Koh Lipe is very chilled and made up of small local villages in between each beach location. Walking around the island is the better way to explore the small villages tucked away.

In the evening time the Walking Street is a popular place to hang out. It’s only a small walking street in comparison to other islands around Thailand; however, it’s bursting with restaurants, cool bars, and coffee shops. Souvenir shops sell items different from those seen on other Thai islands.

Food and drinks are slightly higher than on most Thai islands, but the increase is simply because all the goods are shipped to Koh Lipe via long-tail boat from Malaysia or Pak Bara.

Outside the Walking Street, you can find low-budget Thai restaurants dotted around the island.

Koh Lipe’s streets are narrow, making it difficult to spot cars or trucks. Around the island, you can find motorbike taxis with sidecar seating for luggage and people. The taxi cost per person is 50 baht for anywhere on the island.

The sunsets on Koh Lipe are spectacular and best seen from Sunset Beach and Cosy Cove Beach. Sunrise Beach offers breathtaking views of the sunrise.

Must-see places – On Sunrise Beach, you will find the coolest bar, with chill-out music and a cool vibe – Sea La Vie beach bar. You can take breathtaking selfies at this bar while lounging on a variety of stylish sofas, all set against the breathtaking backdrop of the sea’s vibrant colours.

Castaway Bungalows, just a 3-minute walk from Sea La Vie, serves delicious food from their menu. The atmosphere in this place is very relaxed, and it offers comfortable seating.
