Viewpoint Restaurants Around Krabi
Krabi’s beauty is not limited to its natural surroundings; the region is also home to several viewpoint restaurants that allow you to dine while soaking in the stunning landscapes. Here are some popular choices from Samui Explorer:
Dragons View Bar & Restaurant – Klong Muang

No entry fee
Tips: Spend the day between Klong Muang and Koh Kwang. Chill at Krabi’s first beach club to open – The Beach Club Krabi. They have the best clay fired Pizzas I’ve eaten around Krabi.
Koh Kwang beach has an awesome sunset, setting. Enjoy an array of rustic beach bars and live music evening.
Stop for a great cocktail for sunset at the Nakamanda Boutique Beach resort.
Din Daeng Doi Café – Nong Thale

70 THB is charged per person to cover maintenance, with nothing in return. It opens at 05.30 for those seeking the awesome sunrise view.
The Dome Café – Tha Lane
Where to Find It : https://maps.app.goo.gl/zPDLgWzfnq5HHMuz5
The Shuttle Ride up is 100 THB each, but 80 THB is deducted from food and drinks.
Tips: Next door to The Dome Café is the well-known viewpoint Restaurant of Khao Thong however it is a very popular Restaurant, and often your unable to be seated for drinks or food. The Dome Café is an alternate option, if wanting to relax and take in the stunning view. Also waiting time for the shuttle up can be a lengthy wait.
The Shuttle Ride up is 60 THB each, but 30 THB is deducted from food and drinks. I must admit that the viewpoint from Khao Thong is better, but at The Dome Café, the seating is nicer and less busy, and still an awesome view.
Spend the day around Tha Lane, visit Ma Phrao Beach, or Kayaking from Tha Lane Bay.
Kuan Nom Saow Viewpoint Restaurant – Khao Thong
Where to Find It : https://maps.app.goo.gl/6z3Z5LCLYr8kYQG86
No entrance fee, no parking fee!
This viewpoint is probably my favorite, not because it has a better view, its simply because it’s so peaceful, rustic and no touristy fees and still remains that Thai way.
Viewpoint Hikes around Krabi
The Railay viewpoint hike is a short but steep walk from Railay West, passing through narrow trails and rocky steps before opening to sweeping views over Phra Nang Beach and the Gulf. Hikers should wear sturdy shoes and bring water; the final ascent can be slippery in rain. Early morning visits avoid crowds and heat, and golden light transforms karst silhouettes.
Khao Ngon Nak, also called the Dragon Crest, is a more challenging trek near Ao Nang. The well-marked trail climbs through rainforest, across rocky ridges, and onto a ridge line that rewards climbers with one of Krabi’s most iconic panoramas: a patchwork of islands, estuaries, and limestone towers. The round-trip takes three to five hours depending on fitness. Guided hikes are recommended for safety and local insight.
For a guided tour, you find tour information here: Hiking Tour Khao Hon Nak.
Khao Khanab Nam, twin hills guarding the Krabi River mouth, offer shorter climbs and cultural interest — caves, fossils, and a riverfront perspective of town life. For island outlooks, the Koh Phi Phi viewpoint demands a sweat but shares postcard views of Maya Bay’s turquoise crescent and surrounding cliffs.
